Remotian Systems, Inc. (“Remotian”) and the travel agency fulfilling any purchases ("Travel Agency") take your privacy seriously. We value your trust and will work hard to earn your confidence so you can enthusiastically use our products and services and recommend us to your colleagues, friends, and family.
The information, software products, websites and services provided by Remotian and Travel Agency are collectively referred to as “Product” throughout this document. Travel Agency, Remotian, and third party providers are collectively referred to as "we", "us", and "our". Throughout this document "you", "your", and "yours" will mean you, the consumer of the information, products and service available via the Product. This Privacy Policy incorporates by reference the Terms of Use of the Product.
The provision of products and services offered through the Product necessarily require the sharing of your personal information. Your personal information is shared with third parties for the strictly limited purposes of (1) providing the travel/services you have requested and (2) providing you with information about additional travel services offered by our affiliated entities. What this Privacy Policy Covers
This policy covers how we treat personal information that we collect and receive, including personally identifiable information (“Personal Data”) related to your use and past use of the Product and its related services.
This policy does not apply to the practices of other business partners.
Information Collection and Use - General
We collect Personal Data about you that you provide to us while using the Product. Personal Data includes information that can identify you as a specific individual, such as your name, address, phone number, credit card information, e-mail address and frequent flyer/stay/rental information. We also collect non-personally identifiable information that can be linked to your Personal Data such as your log-in name, travel preferences, IP address, travel history and your use of the Product.
We use information for the following general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, to fulfill your requests for products and services, to improve our services, to contact you, to provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients and to provide necessary information to providers of travel products and services.
Compliance with Law and Other Disclosures
Remotian reserves the right to release Personal Data in order to comply with applicable law, and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on the Product. We may also release Personal Data to enforce or apply the terms and conditions applicable to the Product, protect us or others against fraudulent or inappropriate activities, or otherwise protect the rights, property or safety of Remotian, our affiliated companies, our customers or others.
A Special Note about Children
Persons under the age of 18 are not eligible or permitted to use the Product.
Confidentiality and Security
We limit access to Personal Data to employees and agents who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you.
We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect Personal Data. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure correct use of Personal Data, we will employ reasonable and current internet security methods and technologies. To protect credit card transactions while in transit, Remotian currently uses Secure Socket Layer technology to encrypt Personal Data.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Our use of information shall be governed by the then current version of the Policy. Your subsequent use of the Product will indicate your acceptance of any such changes.
